形容词的原级和比较级、最高级有不同的用法。原级通常用于两个人或者事物间的比较，表示“等于”。比较级也通常用于两个人或者事物间的比较，表示“二者之间较...的”。最高级通常用于三个或三个以上人或者事物间的比较，表示“三者或三者以上最...的”。
1、形容词原级的用法
as+形容词原级+as 表示“...和...一样”。如：
He is as tall as his brother.
他和他哥哥一样高。
His sports shoes are as new as mine.
他的运动鞋和我的一样新。
not so/as+形容词原级+as 表示"...不如..."。如：
He is not as diligent as his teammate.
他不如他的队友勤奋。
It is not so/as cold as yesterday.
今天的天气没有昨天冷。
2、形容词比较级的用法
形容词比较级+than+对比成分 表示“...比...更...”，如:
Basketball is much bigger than volleyball.
篮球比排球大多了。
形容词比较级+and+形容词比较级 表示“...越来越...”，如：
The weather is getting warmer and warmer.
天气越来越暖和了。
the+形容词比较级+...,the+形容词比较级+... 表示“越...就越...”，如：
The sooner,the better.
越快越好。
The more you eat,the fatter you will be.
吃得越多，就会越胖
3、形容词最高级的用法
the+形容词最高级+(名词)+比较的范围 表示“...最...”，如：
I'm the most valuable player in our football team.
我是我们足球队的最有价值球员。
Andy is the youngest boy in his class.
安迪是他们班最小的男生。
one of the + 形容词最高级 表示“是...中最...之一”，如：
One of the most important languages in the world is Chinese.
汉语是全球最重要的语言之一。
Hangzhou is one of the most beautiful cities in China.
杭州是中国最美丽的城市之一。
4、注意要点
用形容词的原级和比较级都可以表示倍数关系，
"...time+as +形容词原级+as"表示“是...的...倍”，如：
This cake is three times as big as that one.
这个蛋糕是那个蛋糕的三倍大。
"...times+形容词比较级+than" 表示“比...大（多/高/长等）...倍”，如：
This ruler is three times longer than that one.
这把尺子是那把的三倍长。
形容词比较级和最高级在特殊疑问句中的用法。
“Which is +形容词比较级,A or B”表示“A和B，哪一个比较...?”。如：
Which is larger,the moon or Mars?
月亮和火星哪一个比较大？
"Which is +the+形容词最高级+..."表示“哪一个最...?”，如：
Which is the biggest of the five balls?
这五个球中哪一个最大？
